Elegant, incredibly thin and warm sweater in natural tones made from high-quality Baby Lama, one of the most valuable naturally sourced yarns in South America. The product is Carbon Neutral certified and the loosely cut sweater with a V-neck and extra long sleeves with small slits has the character of a favorite item.
The baby llama has an exclusive fiber quality that comes from the shearing of the younger animal. The “descerdado” process to get a fine fiber is very complex.
The model (1.6 m) is wearing size S.
Our responsibility for the earth: climate-neutral and ecological.
The llamas come from the mountain valleys of the Andes in Argentina up to an altitude of around 4000 m and grow up freely. These animals are used to living in high, cold and dry areas and are kept by small producers and farmers. The llamas are only sheared with special scissors by specialists on site (the llamas remain in their surroundings). Shearing usually takes about 20 minutes per animal. In contrast to mechanical shearing, the animal is sheared gently, also because the hair does not remain too short and the animal would otherwise no longer have sufficient protection against temperature fluctuations, precipitation, etc. at this altitude in the Andes.

Warm – Soft – Breathable – Climate neutral
The noble and high-quality Lama wool is characterized by its special properties: it is warm, very light, resistant and has excellent insulation properties. Our partner in Argentina has offset its ecological footprint with this Carbon Capital certified product. First, Carbon Credit Capital has calculated the carbon emissions involved in producing this garment. This includes the materials used, the manufacturing phase, the packaging and the distribution of the finished products to the store where they are sold. Plus, when our sweater is sold, the extra price goes toward projects that actively remove or destroy greenhouse gases from the atmosphere while creating jobs and transforming communities in Argentina.
This means that the sweater is not only organic, but now also climate neutral.
