Llama wool is a natural, wild fibre from the camelid family. It comes from La Puna, Jujuy, Argentina.
Llamas are native to South America and roam freely in Argentina. They are used to living in high, cold and dry areas and are kept in the wild by Andean producers. The wool is obtained by shearing in a way that fully respects the animal and does not harm it. Llamas are shorn every two years by hand, with special shears. The whole process is extremely demanding.
Warm – tender – robust – environmentally friendly
This noble, high-quality product will accompany you for many years. Thanks to its high llama fibre content, it is hypoallergenic, warm and robust, with excellent insulating and temperature-regulating properties. In addition, natural llama fibre is antibacterial: bacteria cannot multiply on its surface and die off. Finally, llama fibre is biodegradable.
