Anti-allergic – Warm – Soft – Breathable – Dirt-repellent
Alpacas live in the extreme conditions of the Andean highlands of South America, at altitudes that can exceed 4,500 metres and temperatures between -20°C and +20°C. Baby alpaca fibre comes mainly from the first shearing, when the alpacas are about two and a half years old. To adapt to this harsh climate, they develop a special protection: a long, fine coat that does not retain water and is particularly warm. Thanks to this fine fibre, our scarves are very soft and hypoallergenic, making them ideal for sensitive and delicate skin. Unlike better-known wools, alpaca is an active fibre that responds to changes in body temperature, keeping you warm in cold weather and cool in warm weather.
