The poncho is the most important handcrafted product of the Latin American continent, made with processes and techniques passed down from generation to generation. Its beauty has become so appreciated that it is now worn all over the world. Our poncho is machine-woven and the fringes are finished by hand.

We stand for sustainability and the socio-economic development of South America.

Products made by TASHAY are 100% sustainable, as they are made exclusively from natural fibres, so their environmental impact is well below industry standards. Cotton in the region is grown by small farmers using only safe tools.

The cotton is bought directly by the Warmi Sayajsunqo Association in north-west Argentina under fair-trade conditions, and the community uses the profits from the textiles sold to fund health, resource management, craft and education projects. In this way we support thousands of families and many small businesses.

Light – skin-friendly – durable – very heat-resistant

Cotton is highly elastic, gentle on the skin and does not scratch. It is also a durable, stretchy fibre, ideal for the warmer seasons.

100% cotton

Tip: It is better to ventilate once more than to wash. Cotton is naturally stain resistant and self-cleaning to some extent. Simply leave this product outdoors overnight. This allows the fibers to regain their natural moisture.

Cleaning
Hand wash:
This is the recommended method for washing our cotton products. It is important to remember that it can shrink when the temperature changes underwater, so we recommend using room temperature water and white or delicate curd soap (preferably organic).

Storage
It is important to ensure that the garment is completely dry before storing it and that it is also protected from moths. Dried lavender packets can be helpful. We do not recommend the use of mothballs.
