Meticulously hand-finished, the fringes add a touch of sophistication and ensure perfect drape and flow. This poncho will not only keep you warm with the softness and warmth of alpaca, but it will also wrap you in an authentic and handmade piece.
At TASHAY, our mission is to protect the planet with sustainable fashion. For this reason, our ponchos are made with ecological alpaca wool by artisans from South America.
In the Peruvian Andes, our artisan communities carefully make each of our alpaca ponchos. We tailor our designs to the unique skills and techniques of each community, creating a collection that captures the essence of local South American culture and resources. Our artisans employ a variety of methods, from hand spinning and weaving to using manually operated machines. Each poncho, with its natural textures and colors, is designed to accompany you on multiple occasions throughout the years, reflecting authenticity and tradition in each garment.
Anti-allergic - Warm - Soft - Breathable – Dirt-repellent
Alpaca wool is anti-allergic, warm, soft, breathable and dirt-repellent. Alpacas live in the extreme conditions of the Andean highlands, developing a fine, long coat that does not retain water and is thermoregulatory, providing warmth in winter and coolness in summer. This fiber is antibacterial and biodegradable. Our alpaca ponchos are especially soft and ideal for sensitive skin, as they neutralize odors and maintain their quality after airing them.
