The crew neck with a drawstring and the ribbed sleeves give this sweater an especially cosy touch. This Wildlife Friendly certified sweater is made from merino, one of the most valuable natural yarns, and knitted on a hand-operated machine in a family business in Argentina. That is what makes this garment truly unique and endlessly beautiful.

The models wear size S.

Top quality and responsibility from Patagonia

Land use on the Valdés Peninsula has traditionally been based on sheep farming. The Valdés Peninsula is a 4,000 km² protected area in Patagonia, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. There, farmers are committed to combining sheep farming for wool with healthy wildlife populations, following responsible standards for the sustainable use of grasslands alongside native herbivores.

Wildlife Friendly™ certified wool is therefore fully traceable and processed according to responsible standards and certified protocols.

In this wild, cold and uninhabited region, flocks of merino sheep graze freely and undisturbed, with a healthy, natural diet. They are shorn regularly (between October and November), and the best wool is obtained once they reach adulthood.

Their fibre is considered one of the finest and noblest in the world. Out of love for the animals, our merino wool is mulesing-free.

Environmentally friendly – Ultra soft – Exclusive – Noble – Flexible

Our merino wool comes exclusively from selected fibres of our best merino sheep on the Valdés Peninsula. Every step of the process, from raising the animals to spinning, follows a strict procedure with a specific protocol to guarantee not only the quality of our products but also how we source and design them.

This merino wool is soft and warm at the same time. Thanks to its insulating capacity, it keeps you warm in winter, feels pleasant on hot days and stays odour-free all day long. Finally, thanks to its unique fibre structure, merino wool is self-cleaning, so it does not need frequent washing.

100% Merino wool

Tip
It's better to air it out more than to wash it. Merino wool is naturally dirt-repellent and self-cleaning to a certain extent. Simply leave this product outside in the fresh air overnight. This allows the fibers to regain their natural moisture.

cleaning
Hand wash:
This is the recommended method for washing our Merino wool products. It is important to remember that wool can shrink under water due to temperature fluctuations, so we recommend using room temperature water and white or delicate curd soap (preferably organic).
If you like, you can of course also use professional cleaning.

dry
Remove excess water but avoid excessive shaking, folding or creasing. We advise against using tumble dryers. The best option is to let the product rest lying on a towel and bed (to avoid deformation) and then let it dry in a dry environment or outdoors but away from direct sunlight. Be sure to stretch the garments by hand to reduce wrinkles.

storage
It is important to ensure that the garment is completely dry before storage and that it is also protected against moths. Dried lavender packs may be useful. We advise against using mothballs.
