This fishbone scarf made from baby alpaca and made in Peru has a classic, modern design and a sophisticated shine. Thanks to its suppleness, it is very comfortable to wear on the neck and can be worn in a variety of ways. A favorite piece with textile tradition made in Peru.

Tradition and sustainability come first

Our baby alpaca scarves are made locally in various communities in the Andes. We adapt our designs to the production capabilities of each community, achieving a collection that expresses the local culture and resources in South America in every design.

Anti-allergic – Warm – Soft – Breathable – Dirt-repellent

The absence of lanolin, which occurs naturally in sheep, makes alpaca fiber hypoallergenic, making it an important choice for people with sensitive skin. Alpaca fibers are five times warmer and stronger than sheep's wool because they can retain more heat thanks to the air pockets they contain and are also lighter and more breathable than other animal fibers. Alpacas are animals that live in the extreme conditions of the Andean highlands in South America: In order to adapt to these harsh climatic conditions, they develop a special protection: a long, fine coat that does not retain water and is particularly warm. Finally, the noble alpaca wool has a high self-cleaning power - it is naturally dirt-repellent.

100% baby alpaca

Tip
It's better to air it out more than to wash it. The baby alpaca is naturally dirt-repellent and self-cleaning to a certain extent. Simply leave this product outside in the fresh air overnight. This allows the fibers to regain their natural moisture.
cleaning
Hand wash:
This is the recommended method for washing our baby alpaca products. It is important to remember that wool can shrink under water due to temperature fluctuations, so we recommend using room temperature water and white or delicate curd soap (preferably organic).
If you like, you can of course also use professional cleaning.

dry
Remove excess water but avoid excessive shaking, folding or creasing. We advise against using tumble dryers. The best option is to let the product rest lying on a towel and bed (to avoid deformation) and then let it dry in a dry environment or outdoors but away from direct sunlight. Be sure to stretch the garments by hand to reduce wrinkles.

storage
It is important to ensure that the garment is completely dry before storage and that it is also protected against moths. Dried lavender packs may be useful. We advise against using mothballs.
