Round neck sweater in natural tones with a drawstring and wide knitted cuffs with slits give the oversized sweater a casual touch. Our sweater is knitted from 100% Baby Lama using the traditional technique to give it its signature texture. The result is a lightweight piece that offers plenty of room for easy movement and optimal comfort.

The baby llama has an exclusive fiber quality that comes from the shearing of the younger animal. The “descerdado” process to get a fine fiber is very complex.

The model (1.6 m) is wearing size 1

Llama wool, which is essential to the Andean ecosystem.

The llamas come from the mountain valleys of the Andes in Argentina up to an altitude of around 4000 m and grow up freely in the provinces of Salta and Jujuy. These animals are used to living in high, cold and dry areas and are kept by small producers and farmers. Their wool is obtained through a shearing process (as opposed to machine shearing) that completely respects the animal and does not harm it. Because of the privileged location, our Lama wool is characterized by excellent shine, silkiness and fineness.

The baby llama has an exclusive fiber quality that comes from the shearing of the younger animal. The "descerdado" process to get a fine fiber is very complex.

Our collection of Baby Llama wool sweaters are based on the fiber's natural colors (from natural to black through various shades of gray and brown) and are manufactured without chemical processes to minimize harmful substances for people and the environment.

Warm – Soft – Breathable – Ecological

The noble and high-quality Lama wool is characterized by its special properties: it is warm, very light, resistant and has excellent insulation properties. Because of their grazing behavior (they feed on grasses), llamas do not tear up vegetation like sheep, cattle and goats, but rather carry out pruning that better preserves the grasses. Finally, they have special features such as the small dimensions of the paws with a kind of sole so that the natural grass areas are not destroyed by trampling and the ground is not damaged.

Tip
It's better to air it out more than to wash it. Lama wool is naturally dirt-repellent and self-cleaning to a certain extent. Simply leave this product outside in the fresh air overnight. This allows the fibers to regain their natural moisture.

cleaning
Hand wash:
This is the recommended method for washing our Baby Lama Wool products. It is important to remember that wool can shrink under water due to temperature fluctuations, so we recommend using room temperature water and white or delicate curd soap (preferably organic).
If you like, you can of course also use professional cleaning.

dry
Remove excess water but avoid excessive shaking, folding or creasing. We advise against using tumble dryers. The best option is to lay the product flat on a clean surface (to avoid deformation) and then let it dry in a dry environment or outdoors but away from direct sunlight. Be sure to stretch the garments by hand to reduce wrinkles.

storage
It is important to ensure that the garment is completely dry before storage and that it is also protected against moths. Dried lavender packs may be useful. We advise against using mothballs.
