Our Andean crewneck sweater made from 100% llama fiber is a new take on a classic, collectively designed Andean textile. The combination of patterns and colors makes it unique not only because of its design, but also because it is made entirely by hand and with natural dyes. The woven fabric is robust and warm and, when combined with jeans, is a casual companion for the cool season.

Long-sleeved sweater made from hand-spun yarn from small producers and hand-knitted with circular knitting needles. This garment is made by a network of more than 120 artisans working in very scattered and isolated areas. Dyeing with natural colors is a manual work and requires a great deal of know-how and specialist knowledge. Vegetable dyes are used for our Andes sweater. The colors fuchsia, pink and violet are obtained from beetroot and cabbage; the most beautiful yellow tones come from turmeric, and the green tones are obtained by dyeing with yerba mate. In this way, these ingredients, together with their corresponding natural mordants such as lemon, achieve the most beautiful colors in South America for our garments.
Warm – breathable – anti-allergic – environmentally friendly –
Lama fibers are warming, have an insulating effect on cold days and at the same time ensure heat balance, meaning they can perfectly regulate heat and cold. They also consist of natural proteins with a very low lanolin content and fat, which makes them highly recommended for allergy sufferers. Because of their grazing behavior (they feed on grasses), llamas do not tear up vegetation like sheep, cattle and goats, but rather carry out pruning that better preserves the grasses.
