During production, the poncho is woven by machine and processed by hand.

For animal protection, the llamas are kept in a species-appropriate manner in the wild and by small producers and farmers. The animals are only sheared by specialists in their habitat using special scissors that enable these traditional techniques. Through the Warmi Sayajsunqo Association, llama and sheep wool is purchased directly from producers in isolated areas. The profits from the textiles sold are used by the community (approx. 3,000 families) to finance health, resource management, crafts and education projects.

The llama is a resistant and elegant fiber and brings lightness. This fiber is ideal for winter because it has a very soft touch. Other special features of this noble fiber are hypoallergenic, warm, fluffy, it has excellent insulating properties and also has a temperature-balancing effect. In addition, this fiber has an antibacterial effect, meaning bacteria cannot multiply on its surface and die. Finally, it is biodegradable.
