This alpaca poncho, meticulously loomed, combines the elegance and warmth of natural fibers with artisanal skill. Alpaca wool, known for its softness and hypoallergenic properties, ensures exceptional comfort.

At TASHAY we respect the work of the greatest experts in textile art and value natural fibers, which are durable, allow the skin to breathe and are in harmony with nature.

TASHAY respects high standards: ethical work, exceptional quality and animal welfare

Our alpaca wool products are incredibly soft and hypoallergenic, thanks to the fineness of their fibers, making them the perfect choice for sensitive and delicate skin. Unlike other wools, alpaca wool is an active fiber that adapts to changes in body temperature, offering superior properties that surpass even the quality and fineness of cashmere and mohair. The alpacas from which we obtain our fibers live at high altitudes, facing extreme weather conditions. These alpacas have developed a long, fine coat that protects them from the harsh climate, resulting in a Peruvian alpaca fiber of the highest quality worldwide. Our wool obtaining process is carried out through careful shearing that ensures that the alpacas do not suffer any damage or abuse.

Anti-allergic - Warm - Soft - Breathable – Dirt-repellent

Alpaca wool is anti-allergic, warm, soft, breathable and dirt-repellent. Alpacas live in the extreme conditions of the Andean highlands, developing a fine, long coat that does not retain water and is thermoregulatory, providing warmth in winter and coolness in summer. This fiber is antibacterial and biodegradable. Our alpaca ponchos are especially soft and ideal for sensitive skin, as they neutralize odors and maintain their quality after airing them.

100% Alpaca

Tip: It is better to ventilate once more than to wash. Alpaca is naturally dirt-repellent and self-cleaning to some extent. Simply leave this product outdoors overnight. This allows the fibers to regain their natural moisture.

Cleaning
Hand wash:
This is the recommended method for washing our alpaca products. It is important to remember that wool can shrink when the temperature changes underwater, so we recommend using room temperature water and white or delicate curd soap (preferably organic).
Of course, if you want, you can also use professional cleaning.

Dry:
Remove excess water, but avoid excessive shaking, folding or wrinkling. We do not recommend the use of dryers. The best option is to let the product rest on a towel and bed (to avoid deformation) and then let it dry in a dry environment or outdoors, but away from direct sunlight. Be sure to stretch garments by hand to reduce wrinkles.

Storage:
It is important to ensure that the garment is completely dry before storing it and that it is also protected from moths. Dried lavender packets can be helpful. We do not recommend the use of mothballs.
