Knitted merino wool cardigan with ribbed sleeves, in black. Also available in cream white. A timeless, light and very soft staple that goes with everything and looks just as good over a T-shirt as over a dress. It is knitted in a small family workshop in Argentina under fair, environmentally friendly conditions.

The model is wearing size S.

Wildlife Friendly™ merino wool from Patagonia

Our merino wool comes from Península Valdés, a 4,000 km² protected area in Argentinian Patagonia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There, ranchers work to ensure that sheep farming coexists with wildlife. Wildlife Friendly™ certification guarantees that the wool is fully traceable and obtained following responsible protocols. The sheep graze freely and the wool is mulesing-free.

Ultra-soft – warm – breathable – environmentally friendly

Merino wool is one of the finest natural fibres in the world: it keeps you warm in winter, feels pleasant on mild days, regulates temperature and does not retain odours. It also naturally repels dirt, so it does not need frequent washing.

100% Merino Wool

Tip: airing is better than washing. Merino wool naturally repels dirt and is, to a certain extent, self-cleaning. Simply leave the garment outdoors overnight so the fibres can regain their natural moisture.

Cleaning
Hand wash: this is the recommended method. Wool can shrink with changes in water temperature, so we recommend using room-temperature water and a mild, neutral soap (ideally organic).
If you prefer, you can also have it professionally cleaned.

Drying
Remove excess water without wringing or rubbing the garment. Do not tumble dry. Lay it flat on a towel to dry in a dry place or outdoors, away from direct sunlight, and reshape it by hand to avoid creases.

Storage
Before storing it, make sure it is completely dry and protected from moths. Sachets of dried lavender can help. We do not recommend mothballs.
