Noble, incredibly fine and warm sweater in natural tones made of high-quality baby llama, one of the most valuable yarns of natural origin from South America. The product is Carbon Neutral certified and the loose V-neck sweater with extra long sleeves with small slits has a favorite piece character.

Baby llama has a unique fiber quality that comes from shearing the younger animal. The "weeding" process to obtain a fine fiber is very complex.

The model (1.6 m) is wearing size S.

Our responsibility to the earth: climate neutral and ecological.

The llamas come from the mountain valleys of the Andes in Argentina up to an altitude of about 4000 m and grow freely. These animals are used to living in high, cold and dry areas and are kept by small producers and farmers. The llamas are only sheared by specialists on site (the llamas remain in their environment) with special scissors. Trimming usually takes about 20 minutes per animal. Unlike mechanical shearing, the animal is sheared gently, also because the hair is not too short and otherwise the animal would no longer have sufficient protection against temperature fluctuations, precipitation, etc. at this altitude in the Andes.

Warm – Soft – Breathable – Climate neutral

Noble and high-quality llama wool is characterized by its special properties: it is warm, very light, resistant and has excellent insulating properties. Our partner in Argentina has offset its environmental footprint through this product certified by Carbon Capital. Firstly, Carbon Credit Capital has calculated the carbon emissions generated during the production of this garment. This includes the materials used, the manufacturing phase, the packaging and the distribution of the finished products to the store where they are sold. Additionally, when our sweater is sold, the additional price goes toward projects that actively remove or destroy greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, while creating jobs and transforming communities in Argentina.

Therefore, the sweater is not only organic, but is now also climate neutral.

100% baby llama

Tip: It is better to ventilate once more than to wash. Llama wool is naturally dirt-repellent and self-cleaning to some extent. Simply leave this product outdoors overnight. This allows the fibers to regain their natural moisture.

Handwash:
This is the recommended method for washing our baby llama wool products. It is important to remember that wool can shrink when the temperature changes underwater, so we recommend using room temperature water and white or delicate curd soap (preferably organic).
Of course, if you want, you can also use professional cleaning.

Dry:
Remove excess water, but avoid excessive shaking, folding or wrinkling. We do not recommend the use of dryers. The best option is to place the product on a clean surface (to avoid deformation) and then let it dry in a dry environment or outdoors but away from direct sunlight. Be sure to stretch garments by hand to reduce wrinkles.

Storage:
It is important to ensure that the garment is completely dry before storing it and that it is also protected from moths. Dried lavender packets can be helpful. We do not recommend the use of mothballs.
